With Discover, you can stay up-to-date on important news without having to search for it, whatever your interests are, we can keep you updated. But, a year ago, Google Discover ditched a significant card, the Weather Card.
Google might be returning to the weather information card that it has discarded over a year ago, judging by the latest change in the feed.
You can see your current location, the chance of precipitation, the current temperature, and a simplified weather description such as “partly cloudy.”
There are still some issues to be fixed before the weather is added to Discover. Instead of displaying the Google app’s built-in weather app when tapping the card, tapping it opens a Google Search for the word “weather.”
There has been a constant back and forth between Discover and the Weather Feed about the inclusion of weather information. In the new weather information, the pill-shaped button at the top left of the screen looks like the old version found in Discover in the past.
Discover feed on the home screen was eventually removed completely from weather details, giving rise to its current design. The weather display on Google was reduced to a simple Material Design chip early last year before being removed entirely.
