WhatsApp Adds New Unicode 14 Emoji
We get to see new emojis once or twice a year, and everyone enjoys them. A total of 37 new reactions will be coming to WhatsApp with Unicode 14, allowing users for more splendid expression in this beautiful language.
With the biggest instant messaging app in the world bringing them to its users, it only makes sense that WhatsApp does the same. WhatsApp 2.22.8.8 includes the Unicode 14 emoji like the melting faces, biting lips, and several others.
They often also come with gender and skin tone options. Several variants of existing emojis have also been added to the release.
There are several new emojis here that are likely to be used in everyday life, despite it being a minor update compared with previous Unicode releases.
However, WhatsApp’s adding these is perhaps even more important for the number of people they will reach compared to Android or iOS.
With the overwhelming majority of Android users running Android 10, fragmentation in Android will still be a problem well into 2022.
So, having them accessible regardless of which Android version a phone is running is much appreciated, as it will ensure many people can use them.
You may want to wait until the stable release comes out if you just want the new emoji. However, if you have a sudden urge to download the beta version, feel free.
